Support and Advocacy for Wellness and Access to HIV Prevention (SAWA) aims to increase access to HIV combination prevention interventions by Adolescent Girls and young women through the implementation of a social-ecological model that seeks to create a conducive atmosphere for access to HIV prevention.
Goal: To normalize HIV prevention and increase uptake of HIV combination prevention interventions among AGYW
Objectives:
- To establish an HIV prevention knowledge and support system based on an economic empowerment approach
- To create a conducive environment for AGYW to discuss HIV prevention and use of HIV prevention interventions without fear of stigma
- To engage boys and men in positive masculinity dialogue and mentorship
- To influence key stakeholders to support HIV prevention for adolescents and young people (AYP)
- Target population: AGYW (Primary) and ABYM, FSW, PWDs (Secondary)
